Graduated as an Engineer from "Ecole National des Arts et Métiers" in Paris, France. (1982).
Dominique Brugier started his career as Research engineer (mechanical domain) in a large company lab in France where he worked for 6 years; than he worked as Scientist consultant (Altran) for 3 years.
He joined Lafarge Group in 1991 as mechanical expert in CTI (Lyon) and held, through a very rich and diverse career path, various senior management positions as follows: In1995, he joined the team of the first Lafarge plant in China, than in 1998,he was appointed project manager for the first Chinese Lafarge plant in DuJiangYan, this plant started successfully in 2002.
End of 2002, he was nominated cement plant manager in France.
In 2005, he returned in China for the integration of Shui On, then in 2006 became the Cement Industrial Director of Sichuan in order to develop operation (2 new plants) and local competencies.
In 2009, he joined the Technical center in Cairo as DPP in charge of Sub-Sahara zone, working closely with the region to develop the performances or the production units.
In 2013, he became the IPMEA Director, to support the development of the industrial operation and to identify in the zone the talents.
Mid 2014, he joined the new IPC organization in Lyon (member of the executive committee) as Resource Allocation Director.
He was also Board member of Ashaka cement, Bamburi Cement and Tanzania cement.
In June 2015 he was appointed as General Manager Industrial Iraq.
